India Republic Day Celebrations

9f6c7f31669c085306f228df70ceab80India Republic Day, celebrates the day that Constitution of India came into force on 26 January 1950. India achieved Independence from British Rule in 15 August 1947, and the Constitution of India, sets it on the path of a “sovereign, socialist, secular, democratic republic, assuring its citizens of justice, equality, and liberty, and endeavours to promote fraternity among them.” (wiki)

 

bea51f4f48e52ea27c82c7de3175c418The day is a national holiday in India and in Delhi there are military parades and shows.  However this is about celebration organised by Youthwing of North Western Railway Zone at their headquarters in Jaipur. For the last three years they have organised fun events and competitions for the Children of the Railway workers.  It is organise under the guidance of Com Vineet Maan, Zonal Vice President and we thank them for sharing the lovely photos.
